The applications are endless; a commuter can have a floating home in Toronto, a cottage owner may want it for friends and family when they visit, an investor may want a fleet to create a “Floatel”.

When I watched the first video produced by Navisyo I was overwhelmed by the possibilities and applications. It’s design is European; simplistic, functional and beautiful. A commuter can have a floating home in Toronto, a cottage owner can have a beautiful space for friends & family, it can simply be an investment allowing city dwellers a vacation spot. With all this in mind, when I was offered the opportunity to visit the factory in Vigo, Spain I made the arrangements before the conversation had ended. I’ve learned, good opportunities need to be nurtured and I didn’t want to wait for its arrival to Canada to see it for myself.
Tour the Navisyo Homes Factory
My first introduction in Vigo was to Xoel the designer and engineer. Woo’ed by his charming Spanish accent, he held my attention as he spoke with passion about his design, the homes and the Navisyo vision. He took us to the shipyard where we could see Yacht Solutions floating home, the very one headed to Canada. It was more than what I imagined. It has all the elements I would want in a vacation home, designed with two bedrooms, kitchen and full shower all underneath a stunning rooftop patio. I was moments away from asking for a chilled glass of wine as I imagined myself enjoying the views from the shores of Muskoka. It’s hard to believe this all sits within 28ft; it feels open and spacious with windows in every direction.
